Lesson 8: Is The Content You Are Linking To Original Or Duplicate?

In the last few years a practice has develop of inbound linking websites that place links within the words of relevant articles. This practice in its core is beneficial since Google likes the links to come from websites with relevant content. However, the execution of this practice is poor. These companies have tens of thousands of articles where they can place any imaginable keyword. The problem in their execution is the fact that their content is duplicated. These companies will not go into the expense of developing original content for each and every customer, they simply duplicate their content with minutes differences and change the article’s title. Google is able to recognize the duplicate content and disregard it, deeming the link useless. When using such a company a webmaster must ensure that the content is not duplicated.
