Inbound links are valuable connections between external sites and the home site. They are important since they funnel visitors to the home site in order to expose them to the products, services and/or messages.

With SEO in mind, inbound links are very important, since Google’s search engine algorithm uses the quality and quantity of inbound links to rank the website’s popularity and relevance. Sites that want to rank higher on Google should pay close attention to their inbound link quantity and quality. The worthiness of the links will have a greatly impact Google’s decision to promote or penalize the site based on inbound links.

  1. Do you have a place where the algorithm is better explained, or is it secret information?

  2. Mo, The algorithm is something Google and other search engines keep secret. The minute the algorithm is made public, people woud be able to circumvent the algorithm for the business purposes. Search engines need to ensure they return relevant results otherwise their usefulness becomes “un-usefulness”. We can only guess the criteria in the algorithm by trial and error.
